About Project

Recycled Workshops is an Erasmus+ KA210-YOU project designed to make youth work more sustainable by reducing waste in workshops, activities, and mobility projects. The initiative brings environmental awareness directly into the daily practice of youth workers by promoting the 5R principles: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and Recycle

The project was created to address a clear and growing need: while sustainability has become a shared European priority, many youth activities still generate unnecessary waste. Recycled Workshops aims to bridge this gap by offering practical, creative, and accessible ways to make youth work greener.

Through close collaboration between organizations from Germany, Belgium, and Türkiye, the project developed three main results:

A Training Programme that equips youth workers with the knowledge and tools to design and lead zero-waste workshops.

A Toolkit of 15 practical methods that help integrate sustainability into everyday youth activities.

An Online Platform that gathers all project resources and makes them freely available for ongoing use and inspiration.

The project focuses on empowering youth workers to apply sustainable thinking to their own practices — whether they work in environmental education, arts, crafts, or creative learning. By doing so, it encourages long-lasting change across the youth sector, proving that meaningful, high-quality learning experiences can be achieved with minimal environmental impact.

Recycled Workshops is more than a project about recycling. It is about rethinking how we create, learn, and act — showing that youth work can lead the way toward a greener and more responsible future.
